Big Wins in Vegas

Three debate teams traveled to Las Vegas.

First year students Matt Munday and Creighton Coleman won the junior division.  They earned a 6-1 record in the prelims and swept through the elim rounds with a bye in the quarters, and wins over Florida and Kansas State.  Coleman and Munday were named the 1st and 2nd speakers in the division.

Seniors Matt Coleman and Eric Robinson qualified for the elimination rounds with a 6-1 prelim record.  They earned a bye in the doubles and wins over Whitman and Central Oklahoma before losing to West Georgia in the semifinals.  Matt Coleman was the 2nd speaker.  Eric Robinson was 9th.

Patrick Rinker and Brian Box also qualified for the elimination rounds with a 4-3 prelim record.  They lost to the Texas in the doubles.
