WSU wins UNI; starts the season strong

WSU started the 2009-2010 season at the University of Northern Iowa.  WSU won the tournament for the second consecutive year.

Brian Box and Eric Robinson were 6-2 in the preliminary debates.  They received a bye in the octafinals.  They defeated Emporia State in the quarters and Northwestern in the semis.  They defeated a second Emporia team 3-0 in the final round.  Eric was the 4th speaker at the tournament.

Creighton Coleman and Matt Munday advanced to the elimination rounds with a 5-3 record.  They defeated Macalester in the octafinals.  They lost to Emporia in the quarters.  Matt was the 15th speaker at the tournament.  Creighton was 16th.

Tom Garvey and Tyler Joe began their college debate careers this weekend, earning 2 wins in the open division.
